The challenge to a dance photographer is capturing a perfect static moment in a moving art form. It demands of the photographer a combination of technical precision and an understanding of the artistry and biomechanics of dance. It is a challenge that I love.
Although dance styles share certain principles, each style has its own techniques and sequencing that must be understood to allow the dance photographer to intuitively anticipate the moment when a great dance photograph is possible. Often you need to anticipate a moment that your eye is too slow to recognise. As a photographer, capturing those moments is supremely satisfying.
I work with the latest digital production technology to ensure the quality of your final dance photographs.
